About Me
Hi, I’m Noelle! I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, grew up in State College, and have taken quite the winding path through life. I spent nearly ten years living and working in Orlando, Florida (yes, I worked at Disney, no, I cannot get you free passes), before making a brief stop back in Pittsburgh. Then, in a move that felt straight out of a Lifetime Original Movie, I packed my bags and moved across the ocean to Lowestoft, England.
I met my English wife years ago while working in Orlando, but we only reconnected in more recent years over the shared trauma of losing a loved one to cancer. We started a long distance transatlantic relationship at the very beginning of a global pandemic, which I would not highly recommend. Now, we’re living our own adventure, helping to run her family’s hotel that’s been around for over 40 years. Along with the joys of marriage, I also inherited seven wonderful nieces and nephews who have made my life even better.
One of the biggest loves of my life is my dog, Radar, who was rescued from a shelter in Orlando in 2015. I always joke that my dad thought I wasn’t responsible enough to even have a pet rock, but here I am, obsessed with my lazy-eared adventure partner. Sure, I enabled him to put on the Freshman 15 when we moved to England and that would probably have helped support my dad's stance on pet ownership for me, but he deserves all the good that life has to offer. It just so happens "the good" seems to be highly calorific.
Now, Radar and I are embracing the adventure of blending our American roots with our new English life, while keeping all those we love and miss back in the United States tucked safely in our hearts.
